1. About us
Mentro (the "Service", "we", "us" or "our") is operated by Thirteen Lab ("Thirteen Lab"). These Terms of Service (the "Terms") constitute a binding agreement between you and Thirteen Lab and govern your use of the Mentro browser extension, website and related services. Any reference to "Mentro" in these Terms refers to Thirteen Lab acting under the Mentro brand. You can contact us at zaurberd.work@gmail.com.
2. Acceptance of terms
By installing, accessing or using the Mentro browser extension or our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
3. Description of service
Mentro is a focus and productivity browser extension that provides a configurable focus timer, session-history tracking, tab organization, page-distraction checks, and animated virtual study companions (Live2D characters) with AI-generated dialogue and synthesized voices. The Service is provided on an 'as is' basis. AI-generated dialogue is for entertainment purposes only and may occasionally be inaccurate or unintended; it should not be relied upon as professional advice of any kind.
4. User accounts
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area) to create an account
- One person may not maintain more than one account
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately at zaurberd.work@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
5. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile or exploit the application, except where local law expressly permits
- Do not bypass authentication, rate limits or any other technical control
- Do not use automated systems, bots, scrapers or crawlers to access the Service
- Do not resell, sublicense or redistribute the Service or its content
- Do not use the Service to send unlawful, infringing or harmful content
- Do not use the Service in a way that interferes with or degrades it for other users
6. Subscription and payment
Mentro offers free and premium subscription plans. Premium subscriptions may be processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which acts as the authorised reseller and Merchant of Record for those transactions. When you purchase a subscription through Paddle, your contract of sale is with Paddle and is governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms, in addition to these Terms. Pricing, billing frequency and renewal terms are displayed at the time of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy and, where applicable, the Paddle Refund Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The Mentro extension, including its design, source code, server software, AI-generated content and branding, is owned by Thirteen Lab and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written permission.
Live2D® character models bundled with the extension are licensed from their respective rights holders and are subject to the Live2D Cubism license terms. You may not extract, redistribute or reuse these assets outside the Service. AI-generated dialogue and voice produced by the Service are made available to you for personal, non-commercial use within the extension only.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, suitability or availability of AI-generated dialogue or voice output. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or under mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction. Subject to the foregoing, Thirteen Lab will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 50.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these Terms or engage in behaviour that harms other users or the platform. You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete Profile, which will permanently remove your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and cancel any active Paddle subscription. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 7, 8, 10 and 11) will remain in effect.
10. Governing law
These Terms and your use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you under the laws of your country of residence. The courts of Almaty, Kazakhstan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory law requires otherwise. For purchases processed by Paddle, the governing law and dispute-resolution provisions set out in the Paddle Buyer Terms also apply to that transaction.
